Public transport is about to get cheaper for 16 to 18 year olds. Child fares will now apply if you get yourself a Leap Card, just apply online at http://www.leapcard.ie.

Reduced fares will be available on Dublin Bus (up to 60% reduction), Luas (up to 65% reduction), Bus Éireann services in the Greater Dublin area and Cork (up to 49% reduction).
