Each June, the focus turns for one glorious week to all things cycling as the Dept. of Transport, Tourism & Sport provides funding to local authorities to support communities to run events aimed at getting non-regular cyclists to get out on their bikes and give it a go.

Monaghan County Council has participated in Bike Week since its inception in 2010. We have supported communities to run all manner of events, from High Nelly refurbishment workshops to our very own Tour de Monaghan!

We are always looking for new partners to help us to run next year’s activities.  If you have an idea for an event, or would like to help out in some way (sponsorship is always welcome, as are stewards), contact the Council’s cycling officer, Carol Lambe, on 047 30500 or clambe@monaghancoco.ie
