Castleblayney is aiming to become not just an Active Travel Town, but also Co. Monaghan’s first Age Friendly town.
Following on from the publication of the town’s Walking & Cycling Strategy in November 2012, the older people of Castleblayney have carried out a Walkability Audit of the town, which has highlighted a number of issues which make it more difficult for older people to get around.
